Portland nature events in December…

… can be had at Stag Beetle Power’s big list of December Delights. I’m sure you can find something to do!

Today Patrick and I headed to Camassia Natural Area in West Linn – Wild in the City in hand - and explored a neat little spot we had not been to before, but had been recommended by a friend with small kids. Patrick took a map from the trail entrance and proceeded to guide me along a numbered tour of the area’s features (such as madrone trees and glacial erratics, boulders deposited by the Bretz (or Missoula) Floods over 10,000 years ago). We had a great time!
