Last Sunday while out running errands and before going to a secular Sunday school class about evolution, Patrick and I had about an hour to spare. While driving through Beaverton on Hall Blvd., we passed Greenway Park, which is just one section of the larger Fanno Creek Greenway Trail (
). We decided, despite the rain, to go for a little walk. Enjoy the pictures:

Mallards:
As we approached the parking lot at an Albertson’s next to the park entrance, we saw a Great Blue Heron gliding toward us. We thought it was headed for the park, but instead it veered toward the parking lot and landed on a light post.
It stood there for a great while.
