Deciding where to spend…

Via the OPB Field Journal, Where should Parks money go? Your chance to say:

The [Portland] Parks Bureau is facing its third straight year of significant budget cuts. It’s time to plan what gets cut and what gets funded next year. Portland Parks wants your input.

Tomorrow night is your chance to learn the options. The city has a public meeting from 6 to 8pm, Tuesday, November 16. It’s in the Portland Building at 1120 SW Fifth Ave on the second floor in Room C.

And Timber Press in Portland is offering 30% off their books for the holiday season. I wish I had extra money, because I would buy several: Insects of the Pacific Northwest, Wildflowers of the Pacific Northwest, Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest, Wildlife of the Pacific Northwest, Portland Forest Hikes, Plants of Western Oregon, Washington, & British Columbia, The Northwest Nature Guide: Where to Go and What to See Month by Month in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia, The Willamette River Field Guide, and In Search of Ancient Oregon: A Geological and Natural History.
