Monday thought of the week: “If only Richard Louv could see this…”

This week’s thought comes from a great experience Patrick and I had over the weekend. We went on a bimaran canoe tour of Smith and Bybee Wetlands (more on that in a seperate post), and afterwards Patrick, Jasper (whose mother blogs at Stag Beetle Power! True Adventures in Portland OR), and another young boy were exploring for tadpoles and fish near the canoe launch. Looking at the three of them, not worried about getting dirty or wet and high on curiosity, Metro naturalist James Davis turned to me and said:

If only Richard Louv could see this…

Well, I’ll send him this photograph:
