City’s first permanent nature play area in Westmoreland Park?

Via the Portland Parks & Recreation Facebook page:

Portland Parks & Recreation is building the city’s first permanent nature play area in Westmoreland Park and is seeking community members who are interested in being a part of an advisory committee to help design the project.

Nature play areas create spaces that include both traditional play equipment and evocative settings that encourage kids to invent their own games. The primary roles of the advisory committee will be to help engage the community, balance local and citywide needs and perspectives, and assist Portland Parks & Recreation to serve people of all ages and abilities.

If you are interested in this fun opportunity please fill out the interest form found at

http://www.portlandonline.com/parks/index.cfm?c=57822

and submit it by Friday, February 25 at 5 p.m. to Elizabeth Kennedy-Wong, Portland Parks & Recreation, 1120 SW Fifth Ave, Suite 1302, Portland, OR 97204. Email: Elizabeth.kennedy-wong@portlandoregon.gov
