Third time is a charm. Twice Patrick and I have headed to the Oregon coast attempting to see migrating gray whales. Both times we came up empty-handed. This time, on March 26, we got to see some in the form of their blows shooting up from the surface of the water and quickly turning into mist above the windy ocean (6 in all, through binoculars; sorry, no pictures).
Enjoy the pictures!
Large group of birds on the water, I don’t know what species:
I asked Patrick to take a photo of me looking out for whales. Nice job, Patrick!
Happy to have seen some whales!
A Herring Gull:
The water in this small creek leading to the ocean was coooooooooooold…
