Yesterday Patrick and I joined a Metro naturalist and other folks for a Painted Turtle Walk at Smith and Bybee Wetlands Natural Area. Catherine and Patrick did this last year, with James Davis, saw some turtles, garter snakes, and ospreys. This time, we saw a few turtles (the sun was hardly out) and some ospreys, but no garter snakes (photos).
