Free birding class at Audubon Society of Portland, Dec. 5th

John Rakestraw, author of Birding Oregon, is a birding guide and teacher. On December 5th at 7pm, he will be giving a free class at the Audubon Society of Portland: “The Well-Equiped Birder: tips on tools for birding”:

Whether it is basic equipment, sources of information, or “toys” for the field, there has never been so much available to the birder. This class will provide you with an introduction to optics, cameras, data recorders, books, and online resources. The goal of the class is to help you determine your needs, make informed decisions, and to connect you to resources that can help you achieve your birding goals.

If anyone goes, have fun and learn something!
