Winter Solstice at Tryon Creek State Park, Dec. 20th

Special Event: Winter Solstice

Thursday, December 20
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Celebrate the changing of seasons with the shortest day and longest night of the year. Tell stories about this special day from cultures around the world, learn the science behind the solstice, drink cider from a Dutch oven, and explore the forest during an evening guided walk.

This is a free event.

No registration required for science of the solstice demonstration and winter craft.

Pre-registration is required for 45 minute guided night hike either at 4pm [here] or 5pm [here].
