I decided to take Afton on a stroll through Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge () in SE Portland, and was surprised to see some new boardwalks and overlook. Nicely done, Portland Parks and Recreation! (pics)

Now we’ve emerged from Oaks Bottom on to the Springwater Corridor, which parallels the Willamette River with views of Ross Island:
