On April 15th Patrick and I joined Elaine Murphy of the Backyard Bird Shop and a few other kids for some nature exploring at Mary S. Young Park () in West Linn. Patrick enjoyed looking among the rocks along the Willamette River for wonders while Elaine pulled out some neat tools to teach about animal tracks. Enjoy the pictures:
This track was made by one of Elaine’s tools. Do you know what it is of?

Hello
Your post is wonderful as well as insightful.
I had a question and thought you might have an answer.
I was in the park today and found some fruit that looks very much like black raspberries. They were near the shore of the river after we walked down the trail. Did you see these before? Are they safe to eat?
I took some pictures that I can share if that helps.
Thank you
